Sowing season is kharif , June-July in north India while July-August in South, 10-12 kg seed for climbing type while 20-30 kg seeds per hectare for busy type varieties is used. Spacing is 50-75 ; 40-50 cm. Farm yard manure is 5-6 tonnes and N: P is 10 : 20 kg per hectare. Irrigation 9-10 at adequate intervals depending upon weather condition.
Crop duration is 70-80 days having yield potential of 80-100 Qtl green pods per hectare however adverse climatic condition, rainfall, temperature, PH soil, insect pest and virus attack may adversely affect the yield.
