Cow Pea - Faguni Farming Guide

Sowing season is Summer & rainy during Feb.-March, June-July under tropical and subtropical zone, Seed Rate is 10-12 kg./ha., Spacing is 40-60 or 10-15 cm. Farm yard manure 15-20 MT/ha. and NPK 20:50:50. No of irrigation is 8-9 at a intervals 5-10 days depending on weather.

Crop duration is 85-90 days having yield potential of 50-60 Qtl. Pods are dark green medium in length. Seed yield 10-12 Qtl/ha. Recommended for Vegetable purpose.

Yield is effected by high temperature, heavy rain, climatic condition, soil health, PH of water and pest and insect attack.
