Sowing season is Summer & Kharif in month of Feb.-March, June-July under tropical climate having Seed Rate 15-20 kg./ha in summer and 10-15 kg/ha in rainy season, maintain spacing 60-30 cm. Farm yard manure 20-25 MT/ha. NKP 14 : 22 : 22 and micronutrients as per soil requirement to be used. 8 to 10 irrigation at appropriate interval to be done.
Yield potential is 50-60 Qtl/ha in summer and 80-90 Qtl/ha in rainy season.
Yield is effected by high temperature, heavy rain, climatic condition, soil health, PH of water and pest and insect attack.
